Danielle Morrissey, MSW, LCSW
Licensed Therapist
Every stage of life carries its own wisdom, even if it takes time for us to recognize what it’s trying to teach us. I believe that you should never have to be alone with these experiences. As humans, it is necessary to have supportive connections to survive, grow, and evolve.
As a therapist, I strive to create a space where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. My approach is rooted in warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe enough to bring their full selves into the room, so I focus on building comfort and a trusting relationship from the very first session. I specialize in working with kids, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, women’s issues, parenting stress/challenges, grief, and other major life transitions.
My clinical style blends thoughtful reflection with practical skill‑building. Whether we’re exploring long‑standing patterns, processing difficult emotions, or strengthening coping strategies, I aim to help you feel supported, capable, and connected to your own resilience. I see therapy as a collaborative process—one where we work side‑by‑side to understand your experiences, honor your strengths, and create meaningful change.
My clinical approach varies depending on my client’s needs, but always includes a strength-based and trauma-informed approach to treatment. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Positive Psychology.
Fun Facts about Danielle: “I am originally from New England! Don’t worry, I am honest AND sensitive! Everyone in my home loves Bob Marley’s music. Bob has been a key emotion regulation tool for me and my family! I have a large collection of social-emotional books for children and hope to write my own one day.”
“There is always light. Only if we are brave enough to see it. There is always light. Only if we are brave enough to be it.”― Amanda Gorman
